About Me

Crucibles

  • I was born in the small city of Jaipur in India and moved to New York City at the age of 16. The move was characterized by a shocking shift from scarcity to plenty. It was the beginning of my journey to find balance. 
  • I have a Masters degree in Computer Science. Prior to launching YoVa Health, I have had a 15+ year impactful career, where I held multiple leadership roles including the Group Product Manager for large American bank and; Americas Chief Data Officer for a large multinational bank. My education and experience in Science, Technology, Product and Leadership enables me to drive meaningful impact for my clients.
  • In my 30s, I experienced my parent's long and painful struggle with chronic diseases. My dad passed away in his 60's after a long period of physical and mental disintegration through a series of brain strokes. My mom suffered from Type 2 diabetes and also passed away in her early 60's. These life changing experiences gave me my life's purpose to understand the Art and Science of living a healthy long life.

Journey

The picture on the left is from August 2020. The lifestyle of plenty and single minded focus on financial and career success led me being overweight; with lower back pains, knee injuries and a set of unhealthy coping behaviors like Standard American Diet (SAD) and alcohol just to feel good physically and mentally. I was nosediving into a painful marginal decade; the one I saw my parents live through not many years ago. It was time to make lifestyle and identity changes. 


  • Step 1 - Find help! Working with experts to understand my mind and my behavior  patterns. 
  • Step 2 - Give up alcohol and Standard American Diet (SAD) (at-least for a while). 
  • Step 3 - Build a sustainable exercise habit. 
  • Step 4 - Make career and location choices so I can focus on extensive research and practice of longevity i.e. living a healthy long life.


The picture on the right is from August 2023. Three years of constant learning and making changes. Fine tuning the exercise, nutrition, sleep, mental health and supplementation protocols based on latest science and reducing the cycle time to desired results. Being data driven through the journey and focus on biomarkers. Helping family and friends on their journey that enabled more learning and further evolution of approach and protocols.

Principles

  1. The focus is long term; but the benefits start showing up right away in the way your mind and body feels. 
  2.  We focus on building and maintaining consistent and sustainable habits. What we do once In a while, doesn't matter as much as what we do every day!
  3. Be patient and kind with yourself. This is a life long journey and just like anything in life, there will be good and bad days. Winning strategy here is to enjoy the occasional indulgences to the fullest and get back to the healthy habits. 
  4. Our mind and body are beautifully inter-connected. Mental Health hygiene is just as important as exercise, nutrition, sleep and supplements.
  5. The time to start is now. We are never too young/too old; too busy/ too tired/ too hopeless..to start on living a healthy long life.
